Receive calls from this number 3 or 4 times daily for the past week or so. They let the outgoing message on the answering machine run to the end, but do not leave a message. I do not answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize and figure if it was important they would leave a message. Very irritating!
For some reason I picked up the call even though the name was blocked. THIS IS A SCAM!! Hang up on them!! The phone number is a FL area code and they said they were calling from TX. They said they were from Microsoft technical support and they said a program stopped running on my computer. I asked them if they knew that what version of the operating system was I running. He stammered on that one. Then he said he had my license number and one again if you have that number what version of the operating system am I running, he said "Windows", but what version windows I replied. He couldn't answer. DON'T GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION TO ANYONE THAT CLAIMS THEY ARE FROM MICROSOFT TECHNICAL SUPPORT, THEY ARE TRYING TO GET A HOLD OF YOUR MACHINE AND LOCK IT FOR RANSOM!!
