My bill is up to date so I did not react and said sure and hung up. I've heard about this scam calling business owners telling them to immediately make a payment or their service will be shut down.

Well they identified themselfless as FPL and stated they just shut off our power this happens to be an Assisted Living Facility. (ironically Fpl was working on power lines and had shut off power due to a broken line). She said someone from FPL would be in the area in 2 hrs if we promptly paid giving my bank info they would then restore the power. She reviewed each and said we hadn't payed in 3 months and that I never responded to their inquires an blaimed my financial institution for the glitch in none payment. My husband looked up the return number and reference number an saw it was a scam. I then clarified that I was to give her my bank info and she that would rectify the past 3 months of back payments (about $5000.00). She said that's what I needed to do, I asked why - your nothing but a f-ing scam and I have notified the FBI. Her end went dead! They had to be tailing the FPL trucks because she said a service rep had just shut off our power , which was interrupted 5 minutes prior to.
