just had the same call as mike.  knew my first name.  i hung up without responding

Called my office and asked for the man who owned the business over 4 years ago. When I said there was no one here by that name he hung up on me.

Every single collection agency calling here to [***] out their services, without exception, are a bunch of [***] idiots.  Every single one of them.  And, nearly every time, they start off with the same tired icebreaker, "I'm an investigator coming to get you."  I guess it's something taught to them by the other idiots who worked at that idiot job longer.

Just got a call from an  collection agency who stated they got my information from an IRS list to collect debts on my behalf.   I really doubt this is a fact that  IRS sells lists for 11.00 as stated.  I found the call very unnerving and  also incredibly unprofessional.   When I called his number back the call was disconnected.  Thinking about calling the Florida Better Bureau.
