-always a female voice calls, several times a day, and leaves no message. This has been going on for several months. If I'm beside the phone when I see the number, I'll quickly pick up & say "hello." At that point I get a message about lowering interest rates on credit cards, and a choice to either press "1" or press "2." After pressing "1" a female actually answers. I told her that I pay them all off every month, which I do, and to stop calling me. At this point she hangs up. I find it easier than using cash or writing a check. My credit rating is great, so I doubt if they got my number from any of these sources. I'm on the do-not-call list. Yesterday I spoke personally to someone at the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), and they said that someone would get back to me, which, at this point, has not yet occurred.
This caller said that he works with the big banks. When my wife asked him to remove our number from their call list he told her she should slit her throat. Then he threatened to beat her like Chris Brown beat Rhianna.
Calls the house, uses automated voice to say that they are part of bank card services. They say that The time to lower credit card rates is expiring soon. Wish it would expire already and they would stop calling! They are NOT associated with any bank I have heard of. Scam artists! Log on to www.donotcall.gov and file a complaint every time they call your house. It's a heavy fine every time they call your phone number.
I've received calls from this number as well and when I answer there is nobody there. When it rolls to voice mail they don't leave a message. When dialing the number back it says it is "not in service to RECEIVE calls." Total BS.
I just ignored the call and the message to my voicemail was to the effect that this is the last chance I have to lower my credit card rate before the time runs out. I figured I should google up the number and just like so many other callers in the recent few months they are just the phony type. I guess we all need to start reporting them and demand they be put out of business soon!
