Huh? At 10:40 PM (Central time... Really?!?), they called to leave me a choppy message (?from a cell phone in a bad location?). Something about having 'all the information', but wanting me to verify possession of 'the card'. I'm glad I ignored the call!
very suspicious phone call to say your ATM card had been deactivate and ask for your card numbers ro reactivate your card . Please do not give out any of your personal information over the phone.
Same happened to me when I was called by (305)974-1381- obvious telephone phishing scam. I called the number back, the number went to an individual's voice mail.
No bank or commercial entity was mentioned, it was an automated call not an individual - if your card was truly turned off, you would receive a call from a person who identifies themselves very clearly, can answer your questions, would ask you about specific purchases, and would definitely NEVER need you to give them the account information they can see on their screen as they look at your account, but would only ask for obvious identifiers - address, full name, etc. DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS PHONE CALL.
I, too, received a call from 305-974-1381 -- at 10:57p on a Sunday evening. I was half asleep when I answered the phone and when I heard the automated voice mention something about my ATM card, I just hung up.
