stopfraudcolorado.gov -- reported 305-999-7809 and 888-560-6089 and officials in Colorado are actively looking into this scam with co-operation of Florida authorities.
They called me at 4:21pm on March 21st in regards to a man named Jenkins and asked me if I knew him. I told them "NO" and they said they'd turn this back over to someone. And they hung up.
I received a call from 305-999-7809 at 2:15pm on my personal cell phone. She asked for my husbands ex-stepmother from 27 years ago. She asked if she would be available to receive legal documents from a court summons. I said "I haven't seen this women in many years and you are calling my cell phone to verify her availability??" Next I said, "Why are you calling from a Florida # about "court" paperwork, wouldn't that come from a local jurisdiction?" She said she was a 3rd party investigator. I then told her that their "investigating skills" need extensive work because they are WAY OFF and VERY WRONG!! She proceeded to try and ask me questions, I laughed at her, said "REALY?!?!" and hung up. HONESTLY.....
