I am a Mary Kay Independent Sales Consultant and I received a text from 307-222-8670 wanting to place a Mary Kay order. I referred her, Nicole Meyer, to my website and told her she could place her order there and submit payment. She said she was having trouble placing an order online and wanted me to email her,
[email protected], right away so she could email me get the order in. I few weeks back I received an email from my Regional Sales Director about scams and described this situation to a tee. Of course I sent them a strongly worded email after I discovered what this was. I didn't not fall for it and neither should anyone else so I thought I would post this and save someone esle some trouble.
They will send you a text and ask you to email them back. Then they want to email the order to you, pay with a money order or cashiers check, they send you an amount over the product price and ask you to wire the overage money to them. The check/money order will not clear and you will be on the hook with your bank.
Don't fall for it!
