got a call on my cell.. did not answer it .. did not hear the phone ring .. apparently a sales pitch.. lol.. leave the cells alone for pete's sake ..lol
I received a call this weekend from this number. 3:02PM on 3/22/2008. The call lasted 58 seconds. I have been waiting for them to call back since I now have my Cell phone on the DNC list (because of them). I got "Miguel" when I purposely pressed "1". He of course asked me for my Make, Model and Year. I told him that he should be able to tell me that info since he called. Me. I played coy and tried to get him to give me the company name. He would not. Then he hung up. My next write-up is to the DNC Registry. Please keep looking. The last time I got this, I found a 1-800 number that ties to this company. If I find it again, I will let you all have it so we can call them...Haa Haa Haa!
Received call and did research. "Dummy" number is part of a VoIP system being used by "unknown?" US company for telemarketing. The numbers they use are purchased. Was unable to locate the selling source. They offer auto warranties and vacation packages. Does not appear to be a trust worthy company.
Just did get a call (03.24.2008 @ 10:15am California) from that same number. This time it was on my mobile phone. We have had NUMEROUS calls on our land line but we are no longer using that number and instead are using our mobile phones. This is as others have said is for an extension or ???? for your automobile warranty.
I called the Wyoming Attorney Generals Consumer Protection Unit at 307.777.7874 and informed them (message) of the calls that we have gotten as well as what people have left here.
I would suggest calling them and leaving a message (unfortunately the 800 number that they left would not ring through but the 307 number did) filing a complaint. Asked if there was any way that it can be disconnected.
