Oh,how gullible can a fella be?? Pressing nine just sends out the nine tone and that is all. check it out on snopes. Thinking pressing nine helps or gets you off someone's calling list is not only wishful thinking, but down right naive.
After thinking about it, I think Annoyed's claim that you can press "9" and not only end the call, but somehow miraculously get your number off the calling list is nothing more than evidence that Annoyed is one of the scammers. They WANT you to think you can press nine, but laugh themselves to sleep at night thinking just how ignorant folks want to be. What would happen if all of us just kept them on the line as long as possible. Their phone costs would soar!
