This number and another from Denver called one of my Google Voice numbers in San Diego incessantly about apartment rentals. They are illegal robocalls as that SD number is not "out there" anywhere. They are now blocked courtesy of Google Voice. All of my numbers are on the DoNotCall.gov registry. I will be reporting them once their feds get their reporting page back up.
Download a call blocker app. It takes the calls and blocks or answers and hangs up automatically. You won't. Even know they're calling anymore unless you check to see if they are.
It is in fact a company called Rent To Own. They call often from several different numbers (as someone mentioned above), several times a day, I never answer. Finally someone left a message! I called the number they left on my voicemail - (866) 399.2077 - and it went surprisingly well
1 - they looked up my number and asked if my name was Dario Hernandez (it's not, so problem solved there)
2 - they asked if I was interested in renting to buy a home (I'm not, so problem solved there)
3 - they asked if they can help me with my credit or if my credit has been giving me problems (again, no.)
4 - nice, college-aged sounding guy said okay he will take my number off their list (yay!)
*also if the call is coming from a military base, my guess is that being a telemarketer for this company is a way for people to get a little extra income
I tried to call the number back. Recording says that it is a non-working number. There are several complaints about this number on the internet. This company kept robot calling me multiple times and there is no way for me to request stop calling. I haven't done any business with them nor giving them any permission to contact me. They call after 9pm and also before 8am too. I have previously tried to inform them that my number is registered for "do not call" and they kept ignoring my request.
