I posted an ad on kijiji for a loan,this man emails me in my Hotmail and says he can help me,he asked for $120 sent moneygram,he emails me every hour asking where the money is,and my bank acct number,so he can put the money into my bank,continues to send me emails being aggressive and demanding that I give him a receipt number,only gives a womans name to put the name in for the money.
WATCH OUT!! Money sent by MoneyGram is the same as cash - UNTRACEABLE. In some countries it is ILLEGAL to have to pay in order to get a loan. From what you wrote, I would run away from this person as fast as I could.
Scam. Upfront fees for loans are illegal in most American states and I'm pretty sure they are mostly illegal in Canada. DO NOT pay money to get a loan.
Things to remember about loans offered by phone or e-mail: (Pay attention to item #4!)
Loans
1. No reputable lender will lend you money over the phone.
2. No reputable lender will lend you money by e-mail
3. On-line lenders are nothing more than conduits for another loan scam.
4. Advance fees for loans are always illegal.
5. If you want to borrow money, go to an established brick and mortar lender that has been around awhile.
