Called at 8:33 pdt today. Receive calls every day from this jerk. Identifyer says "SOI WY". I open the line, don't speak and the creep keeps asking for me by name. In the past I asked this guy to stop calling, to no avail. I have reported, to no avail. On the do not call list, to no avail. How do we get rid of this scurge?
It's a company collecting donations for the Special Olympics. The caller ID for this number is SOI IL and I'm also getting calls from SOI IN and SOI WY. I hope the rest of the 50 states don't call me. The live voice says "our records indicate you helped us in the past with a $20 donation, can we count on your continued support with a donation today?" I did send SO a donation in the past but that was through a mail solicitation and I'll never give my credit card info over the phone to anyone that calls me no matter who they claim to be. Even if the caller was legitimately SO, you can ask them to stop contacting you. Even legit charities are required to comply with this wish, and if the calls persist, you can submit a complaint to the FTC through www.donotcall.gov
