I got a call from them this morning they did leave a message that said 'please listen carefully, due to newly passed legislation, we are now able to.....' and then it cut off.... I'm a little bit freaked out about it. They didn't sound happy.
this number called my cell, didn't leave a message. i called it back & it immediately heard a message to enter name & number to be removed from list. I don't understand this. what are the capabilities of an entity that would put the effort into this call?

This is one of four numbers that has been calling my elderly parents cell phone. It is apparently connected with the Global International (Global CC) scam. They pretend to be dealing with some mysterious business matter that must be cleared up prior to tax season. My father, who is 86, gets worried even though I've tried to explain the scam to him. This is exactly the kind of people the company hopes to connect with and scare into paying them money! They have no unpaid debt and no credit cards.
I have filed a complaint with the FTC. If they are harrassing you, you should file as well.
