If this #(3074592990) keeps calling you register your number on the do not call list at www.donotcall.gov register your number if they keep calling report the number at the same web site within a week they stopped calling me. This # is a landline form WY that is trying to bounce a call off of you to earn money. Every time you pick it up you get charged and they get the money. Don’t pick up.
I've been on the National Do not call list since the beginning. This number has called me numerous times a day for the past several weeks. I am beyond irritated. I've just filed a complaint on the DNC site so we'll see if it stops. I hope these crooks that call like this and harrass people all rot in he!!.
I'm with you 100% Rondo. I've done the reporting for this and other similar type of numbers. All to no avail. I found out several sad facts. 1) Using VOIP phone accounts these "companies" can and do change their area code and the number at their own discretion. They're almost impossible to trace. 2) Don't count on federal or any other agency help. In typical government fashion they created a law to protect us from these low-lifes but they didn't put any teeth in the law. The agencies don't have the resources to enforce the laws. {Fear not though. I'm sure they will soon pass another law imposing even more regulations and penalties on these scumbags. Although again with no teeth}
I have found one solution to this problem. It will stop the calls for a period of time but there's no guarantee they won't start again. One other thing to note; what I'm about to describe requires that you maintain the attitude that anyone on the other end of the call is guilty of knowing exactly what their company is doing. They are not innocent. With these two caveats in mind, this is what I do. When the call comes in and I see from caller ID that it's "one of them" I answer the phone and wait for someone to answer. Once they do I pick up the whistle I keep beside every phone in the house and blow it as loud as I can. My action does nothing to close these people down. But knowing that several of these jerks are walking around the streets with a constant ringing in their ear sure makes me feel better.
