I want the phone calls from this company to stop now. They have been told to stop calling but they continue to call at least once a day. I will also be reporting them to the Indiana Attorney General as I am on the Do Not Call list and have told them so. It hasn't stopped them
Telemarketing info help: If you are on the National Do Not Call List, look and see if your telephone number is on an Internet website www.411.ca in the reverse lookup. The company 411 Local Search Corp. is NOT an Accredited business with the BBB. It has a Better Business Bureau rating of F.

Principal listed at the Better Business Bureau is Ms Georgette Ward
The principal who used to be listed was Layla Star Garivay.
To contact them to have your telephone number removed call 1-866-411-4411
If they refuse to remove your number with a verbal request, tell them that they are not abiding by the law and that you will contact the CRTC, Phonebusters, FTC and BBB.
They stated that they got my phone number by a third party method such as
filling out a ballot somewhere, which is NOT true.
Using advice regarding unwanted telemarketing calls to:
1) quickly hit the # key 6 or 7 times which is suppose to confuse their "auto call system" and kick your number out; it didn't work! AND . . .
2) If you get a person, say "hold on, please", set the phone down and walk away. This is suppose to tie up their line so they can't make other calls. When you hear the phone company's beep, beep, beep, hang your phone up. (Tried this even though no person was on the line.) This didn't work.
I, too, am on the "Do not call" list but somehow, this is not working either!
HELP - HELP - HELP!
The best way to stop unwanted telemarketing calls is to REPORT them to the FTC - every time they call - if enough people complain, the FTC will do something about it. The # key suggestion will work on SOME auto-dialers but not all, as you discovered - and leaving the phone off the hook will work with some telemarketers but not many, also as you discovered. I did manage to convince one telemarketer to stop calling - they would ALWAYS call right after I put the baby to bed, promptly waking him up - so last week when they called two minutes after he fell asleep, I walked over to him, answered the cordless phone and held it up so they could hear him screaming at the top of his lungs. They haven't called back since. LOL But seriously, report their sorry a**es and get them shut down.
