I think these calls are for the "Florida State Fraternal Order of Police Memorial Foundation", a scam charity. If correct, the calls are actually from a for-profit charity telemarketer named "Corporations for Character" based in Murray, Utah.
We have been receiving phone calls from this number and numerous others several times a day for over a year. I have reported these numbers to the FL attorney general and the National Do Not Call as we are registered. This is a joke, too! Since we got caller ID I just let it ring. We have NOT been successful stopping them from calling even after telling them to STOP!
After receiving several calls, I just called this number back. I was told they are a fundraising company. I advised them to take me off their list. It will take 30 days to be removed but they will get the process started.
