Got a call on my cell phone on 12/1/2014 from this number. I checked the University of Wyoming online directory and this number is not issued to anyone at UW. I didn't answer the call but figured it was some kind of scam or robocaller verifying telephone numbers.
I got a call on my land-line. Caller ID said it was from the University of Wyoming. There is no way I am getting a call from them. They left no message. Caller ID is the only way to beat them; just don't answer!

I got a letter in the mail last week saying that I would be getting a call from the U of W soon because they are taking surveys about your experience with the quit smoking program. They called today and didn't leave a message. My phone was on silent so I didn't hear a ring...otherwise I could have verified this for you....but I probably wouldn't have googled it if I had answered. Lol
It is a little disturbing to see a post describing deceptive call tactics by a survey research calling on behalf of a client. Proper disclosure of who is calling would be something like: we are xyz survey research firm calling on behalf of named client conducting a survey, would you like to participate? I also have a problem with why debt collectors, survey research, charity fundraisers, and politicians do not have to call from disclosed numbers! Brian who's the survey research company?
