Caller claims to be from the IRS. Indicated IRS was filing a law suit against me and required a return call. If IRS has a problem with you, they send notification by US mail, not threatening phone calls. This is a scam.

Just echoing the posts already here. If the IRS wants to talk to you they send you a letter. THEY DO NOT USE THE PHONE!!! I'm in Beaverton Oregon. Apparently these scam artists are focusing on this area right now. Do not fall victim to this scam. DO NOT CALL THEM BACK. I received this call yesterday and believed it was a scam. Checked it out here. I am printing a copy of the IRS page on the link you provided. I was SO upset when I received this call, and am so glad that you wrote into 800 Notes!
