Dude with very heavy NY accent asked me the name of my business. I made up a name. Asked if I had a website. No I said but he followed with "thats okay" we'll build one for you. Said it was a one-time cost of $250 to set up the page and register the domain. He continued by saying after that was done, they'd have to do "search engine optimization work" and it would guarantee the site top placement in google within 40 miles of my geographic location. Said that part would be $89 a month with no contract and I could cancel anytime. "How does that sound" he asked. "Fine" I said. "So? Do you wanna do it?" he asked. "What"? I asked. "What we just talked about!" "Oh" "Well", "You'll have to talk with the boss" I said. He was under the impression I was the boss. "Waddya want me to do?" he said. "Call the boss and give him the sales pitch you just gave me". With that, he hung up.
