Apperently it's fraternal order of firefighters (of Nebraska) or something like that. They have called my house with this number several times, usually requesting my late mother who has donated to such causes befor. I've answered (and gotten an actual living, breathing person on the end) twice. The first, I got hung up on after explaining she had been passed following a lengthy speel where he "asked" not to hang up. The second time, was with a different guy (and different number) but with the same cause. This time, he was more polite and simpathetic upon my explaination, and I thought that was it, then 10 minutes ago this very same number called again...
They've called my house twice today, so I answered the second time. They asked for my parents and said they were calling from Windstream, which is a phone company. Then provided an 888-number and the windstream website, saying they'd call back again later. Very bizarre...
