I JUST RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER CLAIMING THAT HE WAS CALLING FROM EUREKA COLLEGE AND ASKING FOR MONEY TO RESTORE A BUILDING ON THE CAMPUS. I HAVE A GRANDDAUGHTER IN COLLEGE THERE AND IT SEEMED LEGITIMATE AND I GAVE THEM MY DEBIT CARD NUMBER WITH A PLEDGE OF $100.00. WHAT SHOULD I DO. IS IT A SCAM.
No, Eureka College is a real place and this is the correct area code for it. I grew up there and went to college at this school. Any money you gave went to the school.
