A man claiming to be George Williams called about an hour ago from some criminal investigations firm. But he didn't know he was talking to me because I answer "Bill" and I took a message. I also think sometimes these people aren't hooked up until after I answer--a lot like a telemarketing calling system. But the accent is very similar to the either East Indian or Caribbean people who are known for extorting people these callers or their companies learn about by siphoning payday loan websites. Unlike some innocent victims who either didn't take the loans or didn't apply at all, 2 or 3 years ago I did take out payday loans and it took me awhile to pay back but I pay back I did and I've been paid back nearly 2 years. But the companies I dealt with never called like this, they just failed to secure their websites from these vultures. And it's always a criminal investigation or some law firm and when I refuse to give in, they stop calling for awhile and then after a month or so they try again under different names.
They keep calling and calling. Then finally they left a very threatning message. We have just issued a warrant. I called back and there was a delay with noises in the back ground like a telemarketers phone room.
They just called me to, left a message on my vm I took it to a family friend attorney and he said they violated FDCPA and not to erase the message. The threats and messages are illegal.

I got a call from them as well from George and then he transferred me to Rick, his supervisor. They made up an amount that I supposedly owed to a company I have paid previously. They have a strong accent and speak very fast and overtalk a lot. I was informed also that many people pay them up to a $1000 to a company that does not forward your funds to the correct place. Please beware and ask for something in writing.
