This firm called pertaining to a canceled utility contract. I should not have to pay ca fee for refusing to use a business.  Is this a legal process to pay for canceling verbal contract?

Generally I would say no, but without more information it is hard to actually say one way or the other since all state laws pertaining to contracts vary.
