My rule for answering my phone (on the Do Not Call List) or answer the door for a Solicitor (despite two NO SOLICITOR SIGNS)
1 What was the last product THAT WAS SOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING, that a telemarketer educated me on, AND closed me, and then I thought OMG, I didn't even know I needed a new refrigerator, till that guy and that refrigerator showed on my doorstep.
2. Realizing that NOTHING ever fit that category, I don't answer my door unless condition #3 is met. I only answer my phone once per number to ensure that when I put it into my 500 Number Block phone, that I never hear from them again.
#3 - Sometimes I just like to mess with people. I KNOW, it's not their fault that they have a [***] job… UP UNTIL THE MOMENT THAT THEY REALIZE THAT EVERYTHING THEY ARE DOING IS WRONG…. THEY get my wrath.
The company that calls 4 times a day…. SURE, COME ON OVER, I'VE GOT YOUR DREAM JOB WAITING
Or the security company that wants to scope out my subpar security system, while an accomplice goes in the back door and robs you….
AGAIN, when was the last thing, that you COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT SOMETHING a Telemarketer or Door To Door Solicitor had for you? Never

A presumably bonded contractor named Steven, with the May Corporation- I'm on the Do not call list so when I advised him he was breaking the law by calling me he said "it won't be the first time"... He apologized and that was that. LOL
