I received this text message: "3102665715: Your Entry Last Month Has WON!! Goto Http://BestBuy-Award.com And Enter Your Winning Code: 7777 To Claim Your FREE BestBuy Gift Card."
I spoke with Best Buy customer service and they are aware of this scam. Their fraud dept is investigating and will take legal action. Contact Best Buy if you've received this message to register your complaint with them. Apparently these scammers are also using Walmart in this same sort of fraud. Best Buy recommends you contact your state Attorney General and file a complaint. I live in Arizona and the Attorney General is very aggressive on pursuing these criminals. Once it crosses state lines from where it initiated it becomes a Federal matter as well.
