This call was certainly entertaining. The woman asked for our "shipping manager."
I said, "I can help you with that."
"Are you the shipping manager?"
"We do not have a shipping manager, but we ship about 10 packages per month and I am the one who ships them."
"Oh, I am calling to ask if we can send you some information about..."
I cut her off, "What company are you calling on behalf of?"
"Beyond Shipping, and I was wondering if we can..."
"I've never heard of them, are they a consolidator or do they have their own fleet of trucks?"
"What?"
"Are they a freight forwarder/consolidator or do they have their own fleet of trucks?"
"Okay. So, we would like to save you money on your shipping. Can we..."
I repeated the question another 3 times!
Getting nowehere, she asks me to please hold. Comes back on and says, "Hello?"
I respond back, "Hello..."
A bunch of clicking and then the final click I was expecting, the one followed by a dial tone.
Hahaha. I'm not seeing a website for them, but plenty of listings in net directories for companies that have "beyond shipping" in their name, like Shanghai Beyond Shipping. I wonder if she just didn't know which "beyond shipping" she's calling for, didn't understand that question too, or if this is a scam.
