"Steve" also called me today from a company called "Berret" or something like this. same story as with the others. tried to get the serial number of my copy machine without specifically saying WHAT copy machine. No professional company would ever do this.
Their caller ID was turned off and it only showed as UNKNOWN so I had my phone company trace them down.
Ha! Kara Smith (see Annoyed's comment from Aug. 20) just called me from this number. God bless caller ID. It gives me the chance to see who I"m really dealing with. Just told her that she isn't where we get our copy equipment from and she hung up.
Same thing happened as with all the others, asked the model number and when I asked her what company she was from (since we have many copiers) she hung up.
We just got a call. Kind of funny that they called a copier dealer.
Watch out for these companies. They will even say they are from your service provider. Don't ever give our your copier model to anyone. If your service provider calls they will know what you have in your office. 310-338-8800
Offix LC - Sales and service of office equipment. We are always informing our customers.
Caller ID says Ink Express, 310-338-8800. Phone # lookup also comes back to Universal Supply Corp and Supply Solutions Pro. Gentleman asked for Accounts Payable. Told him that was me. He asked 3 more times, "That's you? You're AP?" After 3 yeses, he says ,"oh, I was looking at the wrong note, can you give me IT". I asked what he needed, and he says "To talk to IT department." Again, asked what he needs, he says, "to talk to one of the guys in IT". Asked if he has one of our machines, and he says, "Look, I'll just call the guy direct cause you're asking way too many questions." Scam company, fraudsters, phishing for info. Don't give them your information. MANY like reviews from multiple review sites.
