called about me being selected by a major bank company and in the final drawing for a "sweepstakes" to win big money. But they couldn't verify what bank I go through. Also gave me the option to select free memberships to magazines like "redbook, cosmopolitan, etc" before i told them to remove me from their list.
Called the number back after it called my wifes cell phone. A woman didn't clarify what company she was from. When asked, she still didn't answer what company she was from, all she said what that it was because my wife won a sweepstakes and they had prizes for her if she calls them back. I asked what sweepstakes she entered and they said it was from major bank/credit card preferred customer deal. I small scam.
Sales call of some sort. They left a message in my voice mail. The audio was pretty broken so I couldn't make out much. My number's on the FTC do-not-call registry, so I'm gonna complain.
Caller was Bernadette Huele with Callbox, a company based out of the Philippines. Telemarketing call offering to generate sales leads and business appointments by phone.
