Called this number back....twice, the first call back said nova company then when I asked who they were the phone was disconnected. The second auto redial gave me an innocent man who stated he hadn't called anyone all morning. Sounds like a real scam manipulating the phone lines to stay hidden. Hope the old man isn't being taken for a ride as well!
Called me three times in a row. Left one of those garbled, but dialed voice mails. Best feature on my phone is call block. I used it and there won't be any more from this number.
Went into my Home Depot account online and a pop up asked me to do a survey for HD which I did 'cause I couldn't get into my account until I did. The survey was really generic, but as a thank you I could pick free product (a free trial offer of a muscle builder supplement, some face cream, and some other supplements which I thought rather odd for Home Depot). I picked some face stuff and they asked me for my shipping address and phone number, then they wanted $5 for shipping and handling..and for me to supply my credit card. I backed out immediately, but they called me back right away....3:00 in the morning! It was an Asian woman and I told her I didn't want it....I am guessing they are piggy-backing a Home Depot website and won't let you in the HD site until you answer them! Now they are calling from different numbers....I wonder if HD knows about this?
Just like Irene, I went to pay my CitiBank payment, but there was a survey prior to the payment. I entered all of my card data and started reading the Terms. I did not like the Terms so I backed out. I did not enter my data, but still I received a call. My call blocker, blocked the call but if I didn't enter my data how did they get my number?
