I'm the one who called u.10 days later I quit. I had more questions than answers. We told it as it had been told to us. In reading reports posted to this company I've found many discrepancies. Unless one ok's transaction NO ONE can be charged for anything-here or anywhere else for that matter. No messages left because of time constraint-I'd usually leave one if the voice mail mentioned JESUS! and I'd thank them for doing so.Names are rotated through each caller trying to reach as many candidates as possible. No big mystery. Gimmicks are not a bad thing unless they are missused. I am very saddened @ how many reports I read concerning verbal abuse.U don't read how WE were talked 2by public tho. There's disfunction on both ends! Experiences & personalities, I suppose.Lies told, too. This is where I,K, confront you, "I am annoyed".Ur blog said my southern accent(by the way,it's a DRAWL from Mississippi) would disappear altogether? I WISH! I'm 50 & I'veTRIED 2 lose it!U LIED on me but it's2 funny4 me2B mad@U! :)
Got a call from this number. A woman with a really fake, happy voice came on and asked for me. She told me she was with a Publisher's company in California and I had been entered by my banking institution for a year drawing and I was a finalist. When I sat silent, waiting for the catch instead of screaming "REALLY?", she tripped up a bit on the dialogue she was reading from, then continued on with the excited "Yes!" Hilarious. They expect us to dance a jig when they call with this BS.
She proceeded to tell me that I had also won 48 months of prepaid magazine subscriptions. She verified my home address, which she already had, and asked me my age, whether I was married, and my occupation. She then said they would be sending me a complimentary, tax free gift - some sort of diamond watch. Whatever. Then she had me pick one of six crappy magazines to receive each week.
After the whole bit, she started that famous line, "Now ma'am all that we do ask is..." - ah, that's what I was waiting for! She said they asked a small fee of $3.95 per week. When I told her I don't want to deal with catches and fees, she hung up on me. I called back, but it just rang and rang with no answer.
This number called me and said that she was from a publishers company and works directly with master card and visa... and I was a finalist in a sweepstakes to win 25000 dollars, a chevy silverado, or a trip for 2 to switzerland. She said there was 48 months of several magizines for free and then they'd cancel themselves... She also confirmed my address.... which she already had!! She said they were going to send me a diamond watch with a 2 year warranty. She asked me my age...if I was married...asked what I did for a living...then said she said they wanted to have our opinion on a couple magazines or something.. wanted me to pick one of them, us weekly.. and 5 others.. When I asked her "So, what do you want me to do?" she said "um....nothing..." then she hung up. She did seem really nice, and I was pretty open with her...but I don't know what she could possibly be scaming? Reading through everyones experiences it seems she hangs up quite frequently on everyone... unless shes just filtering people for a good target? I did try and call back a few times, but always a busy signal. That's when I searched the number online and found this site
