Maybe people do not want to be harassed by unknown companies calling their phones all day. In most of these cases you all call the number and confirm it's a working number and hang up and being someone with common sense it tells me your company is just selling the working numbers to other telemarketers for prophet. Get a [***] real job and quit harrasing people.
Called me 12/25 in the afternoon, pronounced my name incorrectly while asking for me. Said Tiffany from Publishers Headquarters in California. Asked repeatedly if I was (they said my name). Once I confirmed I was that person, they hung up. When I called back (pissed that I was hung up on), they kept hanging up then took phone off hook or blocked my number, keeps coming up busy now. I contacted my service provider to report the number, the occurence and will investigate further or possibly report as a harrassing call or number.
Similar thing happened to me but from 310-831-1152, from "Publishers Headquarters in California" but they wanted my address and kept saying I had been entered in a sweepstakes from my credit card company. They were not able to tell me what company I used. I asked for a number to call them back at, and once I called my credit card company, who of course told me they had never heard of them, I called the number back and it rang for about 5 minutes, then I hung up and called back, it is permanently busy now -- scam!
