These spammer scammers phoned before and at that time mentioned the Do Not Call list. That was a couple of months ago.
When they called today their call was blocked (thank you Panasonic cordless phone) and although the area code is the same as mine the caller ID showed "Out of Area".
My mother received a call from this number. I answered and they asked to speak to her. I said I was her and they hung up. I guess I didn't sound old enough to scam! Tried calling right back and received a recording saying the number was disconnected or no longer in service.
