Calls our business multiple times a day about Google maps. They will not stop calling even though I would never deal with them in my lifetime! Wasting both of our times!
I receive calls at our business several times a day EVERYDAY, they dont say a word when you answer and if you call them back they hang up on you. I am pretty sure this is some form of harasment...
This company called to inform me that my company wasn't listed on the first page of Google and they would be able to promote my site within a few days and have it listed on Googles first page. I was contacted by a woman, I told her I had several web sites which one was she calling about, she didn't listen to me and kept on talking. I waited for her to stop talking and I asked again, "what web site are you calling about", she went back into the same thing she was saying earlier. I stopped her and acted like I was interested in her promotion, I waited for her to finish and I asked again "what web site are you calling about", she had know reply. I told her I would sign up right now if she could tell me what web site she was going to promote and she hung up on me.
I had KNOW intension in signing up with her but I needed to know if this was a scam or fraud phone call. After she hung up on me I tried to call the company back using the caller ID number and I blocked my number, they would answer the phone and put me on hold for ever and never pickup the call or immediately hang up.
Times are tough enough without CROOKS like this out there trying to Steal us blind. We need better ways to alert others and shut these type of SCAMMERS and FRAUDULENT people DOWN!!!!!
This is NOT Google. This is a third party scammer IMPLYING they are Google in order to get naive business owners to give them their money. I get calls like this a dozen times a week (we manage websites for some of our small business customers and we list OUR phone numbers to keep them from falling for this kind of crap). I repeat... THIS IS NOT GOOGLE.
