This number keeps calling, once or twice a week. We have caller ID,
and do not know this number so do not answer. When we do, there is
no one talking on the other end. Who are these people, are they trying
to sell something, or what is the purpose of someone calling, from Los
Angeles to central Ontario,Canada? It is annoying and a bit unsettling.
At least the calls from people saying they are policemen or firemen,
wanting donations, talk. But don't believe them, we have three boys
who are city firemen who nothing about these charities. Do not give
them your credit card numbers. I will submit any information if I ever
get someone on the other end.
Our laboratory just received a phone call from this same number. While the male caller asked for me by name, I did not recognize their company and so my assistant asked if he could take a message. When asked, the caller hung up. I suspect this is some kind of scam. Since we are listed with Dun & Bradstreet, we receive many phone solicitations. As this call appeared to come from California, I recommend that this company be reported to the local BBB. As for what we have done, we simply added their number to our call-blocker system.
