I keep getting calls from a guy named Frankie Garrett who wanted to rent me a room. I told him I wasn't interested, but I guess he's still interested in me. He usually hangs up after I learned the hard way not to answer and let his calls go to voice mail. When I answered he would try to bargain with me by discounting the daily rate to rent a room in his Santa Monica house. He calls it "Bangs Surf Club". After I was very clear with him that I did not want him to call me anymore and he should lose my phone number he started getting verbally abusive and downright mean. He said some really perverted things and offered to let me stay at his house for free if I was willing to "debase" myself for him.
Frank Garrett, AKA Frankie AKA Steve Fine, birth name Pancho Casillas, is a 60 year old man who preys on women who are naive and young (usually in their teens or 20s) but need money, a place to live, a job, etc. He rents rooms in his house to women who are usually college students. He calls his property at 1916 4th Street in Santa Monica "Bangs Surf Club" and posts ads on kiosks at Santa Monica College and UCLA offering to rent rooms by the week or the month. Sometimes he lets young ladies live in his house for free if they babysit his twin girls. His daughters live with him off and on since they were placed in foster care in 2009 because he violently abused them. He gets drunk and makes harassing calls to prospective renters and ex-renters. I advise anyone who answers the rental ads for Bangs Surf Club to beware of this predator.
