I seen some rent houses online and thought they were asking way way to little for the calliber of the houses. The number listed was 800-280-0426. I called and the woman told me that I could call back to her direct line at 310-467-8737. I am very suspicious if this is some form of scam.
I got the same response. they want a fee to disclose property listings. they state there is no down payment or deposits required unless you have a pet..suspicious the name of the company is VIP and Home Price I googled it and received no listing.
I just got off the phone with the same lady, as soon as she told me there wasn an application and a fee I hestitated. The funny thing she didn't even try to give me any recourse she just gave me the 310 number to call her directly.
Please anyone with some info would be awesome. She did tell me she is with VIP Propertys. But that website shows they are based somewhere else and the phone numbers do not match.
Same problem with this lady named "Reese". She gave me all the same information and number. She called me back and when i asked her where the company was located in beverly hills she hesitated and could not answer right way. She said that her company was located all over the U.S. I searched both her 800 number and local 310-467-8737 with BetterBusinessBureau.org in los angeles and could find nothing. Please take caution if planning on buying or renting from this person, could very well be a fraud. going to spam or fraud them on craigslist now. Thank you for the info above.
I called this morning because I saw a listing that seemed too good to be true, mistakes were made on this lady's part because I asked about a particular address by street, which obviously doesnt exhist. she was talking about confirmation emails, being sent, but wouldnt give a straight forward answer, as a realtor, I know the questions to ask, and almost know this city like the back of my hand. her articulation in speech was questionable for someone managing a company that would seem like they would be having a lot more calls. seems like this is an almost well organized scam. dont trust it.
