They told me to F** Off before hanging up. Now I guess they'll have to change their phone number again, which will cause them money. If everyone reports their phone number each time, they'll start losing money during each call.

Spoofed means that they use a computer or internet connection to create a FAKE CALLER ID. Many will report as Numbers Not In Service
Many also use VOIP numbers, which have no connection to land other than an assigned Area Code and Prefix. Many of these services can be set to receive calls in various manners. For instance, calls with Blocked Caller ID can be treated differently than a number with a Caller ID, for instance being sent to a THIS NUMBER IS NO LONGER IN SERVICE message, or a BUSY, or FAST BUSY. Those allowed through can be further guided, though most of these numbers go nowhere, BY DESIGN
Best bet get a phone that blocks numbers and use a Search Engine to search out like you probably did today XXX-XXX-XXXX then add to block. It has made my life much more peaceful.
