Yup, same thing. The incomplete phone number 310487598 called and left no message. Probably, this is the result of a clever software program designed to hide the identity of the caller. (Today's questionable software can make phone number read as any number you want it to...) The intent, obviously, is to make it appear that someone is calling you from the Los Angeles, California area. (310) is L.A. The most likely explanations - these are either A.) phishing expeditions to get into the software of your phone, B.) Sales calls looking to get around the Federal "Do Not Call" lists - you can't report them if you don't have their real number, or C.) Bill Collectors making certain you don't know who is on the other end of the line.
Got a call from this number today. Looks like another phone spammer. Guess I'll answer it next time and hang up after 3 seconds so they have to pay for the call.
Just got a call from them. hit 1 to schedule an appt and talked to a lady who wouldn't give me any information about the location of the company or the name of the company she was calling from besides it is a "call center". I asked her if she gets paid for making the calls and what was the name of the company on the checks she recieves. She said she didn't know. Told her that she must be the most stupid person in the world if she didn't know what city she is in and the name of the company she works for. Of course i know she does, but thought it would make me feel a little better... it actually didn't...but yeah, that happened.
