If you receive a call asking for “the number on the Xerox machine” this is a fraudulent call. After securing a model number an invoice for an exuberant amount of money follows in the mail.
Ask for their first and last name, their company ID number, and their phone number. If they stutter, become defensive, deflective, or if you cannot understand what they are saying, it’s probably a fraud call
This is a scam!! This number calls and tries to obtain information about our copy machines etc. They've called several times. The woman who calls is "Erin." She always hangs up when I ask who she is calling with. Again, this is a scam!
