Caller to say I won a sweepstakes. Says she got my number from a credit card compnay or my bank. Sounded sketchy so I asked to be removed from the list and she hung up on me.
I think this might be related to the same scame reported on phone 310-241-0523 and 310-241-0523 because I received a call on my cell from Elina at Publishers Headquarters in California who said I have been selected for the final drawing on May 31st for the Dreams Come True sweepstakes. I would be receiving 6 magazines for free for the next 48 months, and a free diamond watch. They did require me to subscribe to one magazine for 48 months at a cost of $3.95 per week. She did not ask for any credit card info, but was very pleasant and friendly. After we talked, I received a total of six different phone calls the rest of today, which I did not answer and checked WhoCallsMe to see what's the scoop and I found out it is a scam. I will not answer from area code 310 anymore.

Caller stated I had won a sweepstakes prize. She stated her company was going to give me six magazines a month for 48 months and all I had to do was pay a weekly charge for forty eight months of $3.95 per week or $19.95
per month for 48 months. I told her supervisor I was not interested. I received this call on April 29, 2009 at 6:55pm.
