I got a call on my cell phone from a woman who claimed to be from "Publishers" who said she was making a "courtesy call". I told her I wasn't interested. Her response was, "How do you know? You don't even know what I'm offering." I answered that it didn't matter because I couldn't afford ANYTHING. Then she said, "I'm not selling anything." When I flat out asked her "WHAT DO YOU WANT?", she hung up.
people said i was entered in a contest, and then when i told them i didn't have any debit or credit cards they said they was going to fax a report to my bank and my bank account closed the bank account that which my disability goes into. so my daughter in law called them back and told them they didn't have any right to my account and she tried to get them to tell her what kind of company they was and they wouldn't tell her all we know is what showed up on the caller id.
ADD ***-539-7153 (Not sure of the area code as my caller ID has first 3 numbers messed up), sounds like the same scam though, after my wife said not interested and hung up they called back and I answered, they said they were filing a "NON-COMPLIANCE REPORT WITH CHASE BANK WITHIN 3 DAYS" WTF, We're complaining to CHASE.
This person claims that i was in good standing with my credit card company and that I was entered into a sweepstakes. Asked her how she got my number and her response was that they have the same computers the banks have. Told her I wasn't interested and to loose my number.
