I also got a call from "sweepstakes" on my cell phone and told me I was a finalist. When I told her I was on a do not call list she was rude and hung up.
Just got a call from 310-539-7192. Did not answer and left no message. Caller ID said Ellis Island Funding???? What will they come up with next.
I refuse to answer calls I don't recognize. When will people wise up and not answer. I personally wouldn't be without caller ID. Well worth the money.
Lady called about some publishers sweepstakes to be drawn on Dec. 31st. Lady kept talking over and wanted us to verify personal information and when we said we'd like it through the mail and that we were uncomfortable with it, she hung up on us!!
I received a call from this number. Caller said she was with 'Publishers Headquarters' and that I was a finalist in a sweepstakes to be drawn on Dec. 31st. After she asked me to confirm my address so she could notify me if I won, I told her I was googling the name. She told me to also look under 'Dreams Come True' and 'United Readers Service'. I saw 'Scam' everywhere, and I told her this, and that I wasn't interested. She was very polite tho.
