For the record people, the 555 prefix, as far as I know and remember, is not a real number. If you've seen any movie, like,... ever,... they always use a "555" number because it just doesn't exist. Block this number and any other 555 number. I wouldn't even answer it because it has to be a scam. Good luck to you all my friends! Don't let these good for nothings get to you!!
I get calls from this number about 5 times a day. When I am home I have started speaking in other languages to the caller, who sounds drunk by the way. Anyway, using other languages really confuses him and when he gets no English he hangs up...but I waste as much of his time as I can if I have nothing better to do at that time! Might as well have fun with it since nothing that I have tried stops them from calling.
I am the real Karen Gichtin, and am NOT responsible for these annoying calls. I, like those being called, am a victim. This is form of identity theft called spoofing, which I have reported to the FBI and FTC. Please do NOT release any personal information to these callers!!!!
Next time they call I am going to answer and lay the phone down until they hang up or I have a coach whistle that I will blast them in their ear. I hope that they will enjoy my answer.
I, too, have received numerous calls from "Karen Gichtin" (per Caller ID) at this 310-555-5555 number. I got the drunk sounding one today -- he said something unintelligible about doing work around the house, projects, etc. I get so many of these, I decided to Google her name and found this. I just put a block on this number, too.
