I received a message on my cell ph:
"Hello, you responded to our Mortgage Relief message recently, is your payment too high? If you have not been contacted yet, may we give you a call today?"
I just got a "loan modification" text. I rarely get text messages, but just signed up for WHDH school closing alerts yesterday, and their T's & C's promise to "never sell your info". My wife signed up also - and also got this text. Off to the FCC...
Caller sent an unsolicited text message about mortgage assistance. I just bought a house, so it makes me wonder if someone I have recently done business with shared this information without my permission. It is also annoying because text messages cost me. Message reads: "Dear homeowner, if you are struggling to make your mortgage payment or have a recent hardship, a modification can help. Would you like to learn more about this?" I am aware of scams in which you sign your house away to some "mortgage assistance" company. No thanks!
I've been getting these text messages more often, not only from the number above, but the following numbers as well:
858-699-4919
310-694-7870
310-562-9513
310-562-9517
714-721-1833
These people need to be caught and stopped!! My cell phone is registered on the Do Not Call registry.
Just received the same text as you all: Dear homeowner, if you are struggling to make your mortage payment or have a recent hardship, a modification can help. Would you like to learn more about this?
UH NO! How can they send unsolicited texts that I pay for??
Just got the same message as everyone else: "Dear homeowner, if you are struggling to make your mortage payment or have a recent hardship, a modification can help. Would you like to learn more about this?"
I rarely give this number out to anyone other than close friends and family. I would LOVE to know how these scammers got it.
