I'm in the military and my senior chief told us about a scam going on right now. They call once and hang up and if you call back it automatically charges you like 50 dollars. So I'm not planning on calling back any unknown numbers.
Called me I didn't answer. I called back and it was a recording indicating they were some reward redemption company. Something about a $100 reward card I just hung up. Wasn't interested. Nobody wants to call you just to give you $100 of anything without getting something from you. My reasoning anyaway.
Got a call on my cell phone. They were offering $100 voucher for wal-mart, and best-buy and also a $25 dining voucher. After giving them my address they then asked me for my debit/credit card info which I denied. I also questioned the caller about their security and how they ensure costumers info is safe and he couldn't give me a direct answer. Then they asked me a bunch of questions about why i was skeptical and when I asked to speak to a supervisor the guy was a jerk about. I asked for more info about the company and later found out they gave me a phony company name and number. DO NOT give them your personal information.
