Have been getting several calls from this number on my cell phone. I don't answer it, and person never leaves a message. I have made no attempt to call back.
Called on my Verizon cellphone asking for my fiancee... she has never heard of them or been contacted by them. Then I got a text from a scrambled number offering $200 wal-mart gift certificate and thanking them for visiting their site. Apparently its a Tax Relief scam... they never gave anything but first names. I told them to cease and desist. They called again during dinner. I was pissed and their rep "Robert" no last name, offered to take me off the list. I think these people are phishing but I don't know how they got my cell or fiancee's name, because the phone is not in our name, and we do not owe on our taxes. I suspect they got it from a third party or some survey filled out online.
Yes, the companies name is FixMyTaxProblems. I filled out a survey online and there was a selection to ask for tax help, so I checked it, since I needed help. Was not sure if anyone would really call me, or if they would be just another shady tax resolution company, but they called me. At first I was surprised, but they asked me a few questions about my tax debt and the years I have not filed. I was able to talk with one of their senior tax consultants and I do have to say, they handled my tax issue very professionally, not pushy at all. Felt really comfortable with them. So no complaints here. I would reccomend them to a friend for sure.
