Same as above. Criminal Investigation Branch of the IRS. Called back and spoke to some heavily accented latino girl or woman. Asked more questions than she was willing to answer. Threatened with arrest. I will report this to the IRS.
The call was from "Compton CA" claiming (as best I could understand) that the IRS had issued a warrant for my arrest. I asked for his name and badge number and got "Daniel Hodge, PH2411". Heavily accented caller asked if I would like more information - I said that no, there is no warrant issued for my arrest. He said that he would be sending over the local police immediately. Call ended. This is a well known scam attempting to harvest personal and financial information. Don't panic; don't fall for it. Just hang up. Call type: Phishing/Intimidation

Received a call from a heavily accented woman from the Criminal Investigations unit of the IRS alleging a serious criminal investigation. I tried returning the call but received a message from Magic Jack - number no longer in service
