Get to the bank and reverse the transaction for fraud. Do it quicktime! Get yourself a new card. Get new accounts for anything you might have given over the phone.
Never, ever, give or wire money over the phone to anyone you do not personally know!
Very, Very rude company. Asked to remove a phone number and was told it was done and noted. So they call back....
turns out they are a collection agency and for what ever reason, have my home phone number listed incorrectly.
Got a call from a unavailable and she gave me a number to an an office about a civil case for a bank and I spoke to a Vanessa about paying my court costs and she took my credit card number and my information and told me she was only going to withdraw 200 and the remaining balance next month can they do this and wouldn't I hAve go to court to makea arrangements with the judge first.
There is a VERY good to Excellent chance you have been scammed.
A phone call is not legally sufficient proof of debt (assuming the "civil case" was somehow related to a loan)
If there was supposedly a civil case against you for debt, you would have received a summons.
However, even before the summons, you should have received a snailmailed Debt Validation letter, that meets FDCPA requirements. You would then have up to 30 days to reply to that letter.
Suggest you call your card issuer RIGHT NOW, and stop any payments.

The debt collector may not garnish your wages unless there is a court order to do so.
+ Many Federal benefits (including Social Security Benefits) are exempt from garnishment
You have the right to sue a collector in a state or federal court within one year from the date the law was violated. If you win, the judge can require the collector to pay you for any damages you can prove you suffered because of the illegal collection practices, like lost wages and medical bills. The judge can require the debt collector to pay you up to $1,000,
Report any problems you have with a debt collector to your state Attorney General’s office, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
