The number calling you absolutely is UCLA fundraising. You can call 310-794-0277 to speak to a "manager" and have your number removed from their call list. They'd been calling me for weeks, but getting a call at 8:45p tonight with, once again, no message was the final straw. Good luck!
I called 310-794-0277 and asked my number to be removed. The lady I spoke to asked me my name to verify. I said: "You don't need to know my name. What I want you to do is remove my number!"
I've also got a call from this number a few times. I answered it each time and I got hung up on each time. This is absolutely unacceptable and not the way it's supposed to work. I'm a UCLA grad and I actually used to work for the call center. It is an automated system that dials numbers for the callers. It will automatically hang up if no one answers or it receives a voicemail. But if the line answers, THE COMPUTER AND THE CALLER ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO HANG UP!!! Since I'm an alum who actually donates too, hanging up on me when I answer the phone is one surefire way to piss me off and ensure I never donate again. I will definitely be calling them and letting them know this.
Just got a call...bit late in the evening, isn't it? Donations, huh? LOL...They want donations? Me too!...lost job, lost apt, unemployment ran out year ago, bills (and student loan in default LOL), no money for food, repo'd car. Hell, maybe I can sell my diploma and give the money to them! If the Alumni Assoc are seeking donations, I'll gladly donate if they can get me a job first...
