Received a call this morning. I usually don't answer unknown callers. But listened to the tail end of it. Mentioned U. S. Treasury, ignoring the message will be a second offense, sounded like threat with court summons, etc.
Got a call from this number. Person had a heavy accent. Claimed to be from the U.S. Treasury and that I had a warrant for my arrest because of unpaid IRS taxes. Total Scam!
Caller ( Recorded) warned of a "serious" problem involving a "Federal criminal complaint" involving a Judge/Magistrate and requiring immediate action on my part. Claimed to be David Grey. Caller had what sounded like a Middle Eastern accent. Recording played three times.
Same message as others are reporting. Bordering on threats or intimidation with the second offense comment. Not sure where the first offense was but someone will be concerned enough to call and more than likely be scammed by this caller.
